Star Eaters is one of my first games created with Game Maker. I created it when I was starting using Game Maker. Back then I have been using drag`n`drop features of the Game Maker in almost every object in the game when I have been learning GML language.
Game was created without any plan at all. I was learning sprite management and movement. I came up with the idea of mouse tracking ball. I have created moving ball which eats objects and grows. I realized that I could easily create a game from it and I did.
I am very sentimental when I look at this game. I have decided to post it on my site. Enjoy :)
Game is actually very simple and you will discover the rules and the way to beat the game very quickly.
There are no sounds and music in the Star Eaters. Sorry about that. The goal of the game is to eat, eat, eat ...
When you eat the ball grows. Its vital energy is regenerating and burst bar is filling. When ball is big enough you can fire bullets and use burst ability. In the beginning of the game you can only 5 bursts so use them wisely. That is all. You must figure out the rest.
Try to score at least 50000 points before you leave the game. I think you will like it.
Despite the lack of music and sounds and crappy gfx, game is very addictive.
Game controls Mouse - move the ball
Left mouse button fire
Right mouse button fire burst
